Dr. Kuby brings together historical Marxism, modern cultural Marxism, feminism and the sexual revolution to expose the ultimate agenda behind all these movements -  the destruction of the family and the image of God. The book covers a great deal of history and delves into various figures who've played a significant part in the attemp to destroy the traditional family. Of particular interest to Australians, with the introduction of sexualised school curricula and now marriage 'equality', is the subject of gender theory and its proponents. Dr. Kuby writes on the work of Dr. Judith Butler, the lesbian academic who introduced the world to gender theory: "It is no small mind that would dare to attack binary gender identity and the entire cultural tradition of our planet and try to shatter them." [p 44] But that's exactly what Judith Butler set out to do, and with the help of the Rockefeller Centre, the UN, the EU and other structures, her theory has succeeded in becoming a barely contested fact across governments and universities.

Gabriele Kuby describes Judith Butler's philosophical approach:

"As a post-structuralist philosopher, she has developed a complicated theory that uses an invented language intended to shake the foundations of the human order through "subversive confusion and multiplication of gender identities." If her views were expressed in simple words, anyone would see that she has lost touch with reality, but because she clouds her destructive ideas with highly philosophical terminology that is hard to understand, readers and listeners reverently bow their heads." [p.45]

In other words, don't feel bad if this push for gender mainstreaming doesn't make sense: it's gibberish hidden in a mythical language which was designed to deceive. An alarming aspect of Judith Butler's philosophy is that she feels that binary genders have been arbitrarily enforced because of the prohibition on incest. Thus in order to further the deconstruction of man and woman, the taboo on incest must be lifted! This is exactly one of the potential consequences of redefining marriage that has concerned marriage traditionalists. And now here is proof that it's all a part of the 'gender mainstreaming' package. And there are further outrageous implications of this attempt to deconstruct the family. Butler sees families as a very informal arrangement and not at all based on a biological connection:  

"In Butler's opinion, families are formed not by bonds between spouses and children, but by arbitrary acts of momentary belonging. In Butler's parallel universe, children are not conceived, but "designed' and produced with the aid of artificial technical modes of reproduction, such as sperm donation, egg donation, surrogate motherhood, artificial wombs and gene manipulation." [p 47]

This reads like a chapter from "Brave New World", but is exactly the route we're heading along - even down to gene manipulation and the artificial wombs that are now in prototype stage.

The Global Elites

Gabriele Kuby asks again and again why these new movements have attracted global momentum. In the final chapter of her book, she states:

The cultural revolution described in this book is taking place behind people's backs - top down. It emanates form the power elites and is propelled by minorities who define themselves by sexual orientation and seek to topple the world order. Indeed, a change in values can only lead to a change in the world order. Because the changes are global, it is to be expected that the development aims at a new global order."

  The idea of a global conspiracy which aims to create a New World Order and subjugate the entire population to its regime has left the fringes and become a mainstream explanation for society's multitude of problems. But if the idea of a global conspiracy is overwhelming, then we can take heart in Dr. Kuby's solution: faith and family. While the elites extend their evil machinations at a global level, we have the opportunity to fight them at the local level: in our homes and churches. The antidote to this demonic onslaught of civic totalism, (a phrase coined by Dr. Mike Bird of Ridley College) is humility, faith and true love; the kind of love that lays down its life for another. This antidote is within our reach, since there is no force on earth that can frustrate God's plan for us or diminish His love in us. In the words of St. Paul:

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
