Vatican's Christmas Concert and Mother Earth worship

Just when we thought that the Christmas celebrations would provide a break from controversy, the Vatican disappointed yet again by honouring the Earth Mother at a Christmas concert.

Back in July, I wrote an article for The Remnant on a Queensland priest who publically admits to having been a Freemason for more than a decade. While that is shocking enough, the most disturbing part of this story was that the priest claims to have a letter from the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, giving permission for Catholics to become Masons. Now evidence has come to light which suggests that, in fact, this is the official policy of the ACBC.

I love my Catholic brothers & sisters in Christ so much. Christianity has so much to learn from them in this generation about our prophetic voice to the nations on issues of Biblical justice and in ministering to those affected by abortion. So it breaks my heart to see a moment of unfettered pagan idolatry at their Youth Festival in Perth in recent days.

Pachamama and Child Sacrifice

Faithful Catholics who had been scandalised by the presence of pagan idols during the Amazon Synod received another blow when Pope Francis apologised for their removal from the Church at Traspontina. However, only a little research reveals that the images which featured prominently during the Synod are traditionally associated with child sacrifice.

Violating the First Commandment - Synodal style

Idol worship was on full display in preparation for the Pan-Amazon synod, with the tacit approval of Pope Francis. Although the Synod hadn’t yet started, the celebration of pagan ceremonies added weight to the concerns being voiced by prominent prelates and laymen that the Synod will be a vehicle for apostasy.

Dr Plinio Corrêa de Oliviera was the founder of the Brazilian Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP). His classic book, Revolution and Counter-Revolution was written in 1959 and was remarkably prescient in his description of the challenges which would one day face the Church.

A Catholic priest who is also a Freemason has claimed that the Bishops Conference now allows Catholic men to become 'Australian' Freemasons.

Vaccines from Abortion

Catholic News Agency recently published an article which is full of errors regarding the part abortion plays in the production of vaccines. This response seeks to clarify those misunderstandings and misrepresentations.

The Vendetta Against Cardinal Pell

Australian George Cardinal Pell has been found guilty in a Melbourne court of sexual abuse of two boys under the age of 16, including oral sex, and is now in prison awaiting sentencing: probably a term of several years. An appeal is being lodged by his legal team.

   But is he guilty?

McCarrick's Seminarians

I happened to come across the article and found it to be so insightful that I asked the author, Maureen Mullarkey, for permission to reproduce it here. Maureen, an artist and blogger at StudioMatters.com, generously agreed; the original article can be found here. The following will mosty be of interest to Roman Catholics, but its main point can be applied across denominations, and indeed, across society: holiness, that is, the desire to perfectly align our wills to God's will, is rarely the goal of contemporary Christianity. Instead, holiness has been replaced by selfishness and worldliness and, frequently,  by a life of entrenched sin.
