Welcome

Debbie Garratt has had many years of involvement in counselling women and has observed, first-hand, similarities in the grief experienced by both post-abortive women and women who lost their children to adoption. This article is intended to urge pro-lifers to consider the impact of adoption on biological parents and their children. It is not meant to judge or shame those couples who have adopted and often made great sacrifices to do so, but should serve to draw attention to the deep loss experienced by adopted children.

This is the first part of a briefing paper by Debbie Garratt, of Real Choices Australia, on the topic of reproductive coercion. This article critiques a draft White Paper by Marie Stopes on reproductive coercion, while the second article examines the society's many subtle and coercive influences on pregnant women. Click here to read part 2.   Marie Stopes, one of Australia’s biggest abortion providers recently released a draft White Paper entitled Hidden Forces: Shining a Light on Reproductive Coercion.

CMP, or the Centre for Medical Progress is the organisation started by David Daleiden which exposed Planned Parenthood's illegal baby-parts trafficking business. Among their many undercover videos is a series taken at the 2014 National Abortion Federation conference held in San Francisco. Topics at the conference included self-care for late-term abortionists, as well as how to dispose of those pesky surplus fetuses - presumably the ones that aren't sold - very profitably - for research purposes. (You can read about how aborted fetuses are legally used for research in Australia here.) Planned Parenthood temporarily stopped the CMP from circulating this conference series.

Right to Choose

Not only does a pregnant mother have a right to choose, as a moral being she has a duty to choose: to choose life over death for her baby.....another human being.

In Victoria, if a 20 weeks old child in the mother’s womb is killed in an accident such as car accidents, they are recorded as a death statistic. Meaning a live person is now dead. Consequently I still cannot see why a doctor would kill off a 20/24 week viable child rather than see it adopted out. My understanding of Doctors is that they should do 'no harm'. Killing off a viable baby clearly is harm. In fact it is murder.
