The Evil That Liberal "Moderates" Do

Recent events in the Liberal Party in two states have only reinforced the once broad-church party's drift to the secular left, leaving the shrinking minority of cowed conservatives in the Party and Christians across the electorate wondering how and why this has occurred.  The Liberal Party's growing list of crimes against people of faith and against the churches is beginning to look like an agenda.  This article first appeared at politicom.com.au.

Vile Slurs

Jacqui Lambie might or might not have called Alan Joyce a "p**f" outside the Qantas Chairman's Lounge.  Whatever she said, the incident has shone a light on the outworkings of the sexual revolution and on woke culture.

Unforgiven

The late Frank Devine once said, during the debate over saying "sorry", that the Aborigines should just forgive us.  In the age of the politicisation of everything, of group rights, of cancel culture and of the rejection of Christian forgiveness in public life, Frank's implied hope is forlorn.  We are unforgiven, even when we have done nothing wrong, and they are a-coming for us.

Remembering Andrew Peacock

Andrew Peacock has passed away, an event accompanied by glowing tributes (inevitably, "great Australian") from the political class, present and past.  How good was Peacock?  And what, if any, were his achievements?

The Christian Porter defamation case has captured the interest of the nation and its media.  The former Attorney General has been accused of historical rape.  By a complainant now deceased, and her supporters.  The allegations were spotlighted by the ABC.  The eyes of the country are on the outcome, in the shadow of the Pell case and that of Fr John Fleming.

The Illiberalism of Pro-Vaxxer “Liberals”

Those who have opposed lockdowns because of the impact they have on personal freedom should also be manning the barricades in relation to vaccine mandates, and not giving them a pass because they will help return life to "normal".
