UN Women to replace "women" with "gender"

Written by

The UN agency for women announced last week it is no longer focused on women’s rights but rather “equality of all genders,” including LGBTIQ+. The announcement came at a UN event called “Gender Diversity Beyond Binaries.”

"If the proponents of this bill are relying on Dr Sood's conviction as a justification for this bill, they are relying on a very poor case indeed. They are relying upon an instance of appalling mistreatment of a patient.”

NSW abortion legislation

Instead of reacting to alarmist abstraction like other state governments have done before, NSW has an opportunity to consider the real needs of women with regard to abortion legislation and make a more mature and informed decision.

More confected outrage and censorship

Written by

A billboard in a paddock advising passing travelers, “A heart beats at four weeks,” has caused outrage and triggered a petition demanding its removal.

As if we still needed proof: the firing of Dr. Leana Wen by Planned Parenthood after just nine months in the top job tells us all we need to know about the world’s largest baby killing machine. For daring to suggest that PP should actually offer real medical help to women, and not just push abortion as its top priority, she was unceremoniously dumped.

It is not uncommon to find popular assertions , in relation to the legal treatment of transgender persons, that the law requires that a person who asserts they are of a different gender to their biological sex, be allowed to use bathrooms set aside for their chosen gender, or that they have a “right” to be addressed by the pronoun corresponding to that gender. In this post I want to point out that it seems quite arguable that the law in most of Australia does not have this effect.

In what has been called a 'disgraceful abuse of power', the UK Parliament has voted to repeal sections of Northern Ireland's law which protect preborn babies from abortion. MPs from all over the UK overwhelmingly supported the Northern Ireland Executive Formation Bill, which will repeal sections of the Offences Against the Person Act of 1861.
