When a nation that used to value freedom, democracy, and the rule of law is willing to throw all that away because of the mistaken notion that it must effectively open its borders to anyone and everyone, and embrace misguided multi culti policies to the max, that nation is headed to oblivion real fast. And we have a perfect example of this happening right now in Europe in general and Sweden in particular. The horror stories coming out of this country on a regular basis are just so utterly shocking. Yet it seems to prefer keeping its head in the sand as it self-destructs. Let me offer just a handful of recent stories which should make your blood boil. Most deal with the massive problem of rape and assaults on women by the new immigrants – mostly Muslims. The first one concerns how so much of Sweden is becoming a no-go zone. The headline reads, “Sweden: Fire brigade now need SWAT team to enter migrant suburbs.” It begins:

After a fire alarm went off in a garage with fifty cars in Uppsala, the fire brigade was nowhere to be seen. According to a witness, people in the suburb of Gottsunda had to wait (for almost) an hour before the emergency services arrived. At 9:34 pm the emergency services arrived much too late at the place. Lisa Sannervik, a police spokeswoman, said “the delay was because of safety measures”. Earlier there were attacks on responding teams and helmet and weapon reinforcements were needed to safely escort the fire brigade in the suburb.

And it is now becoming high risk for females to even go jogging:

Residents of the Swedish city of Oskarshamn will now have the option to be accompanied by armed police officers while out jogging. Oskarshamn police inspector Peter Karlsson said the programme was designed to ease the insecurities of those who wish to go jogging after dark…. Karlsson said that he had heard of many residents feeling insecure in the city: “It does not happen so much here, but people are influenced by events around the world and feel unsafe when it’s dark.” The police inspector’s comments mirror a report from 2016 which stated that close to half of women in Sweden felt “very unsafe” at night alone in Swedish cities. According to the report, conducted by newspaper Aftonbladet, a further 43 per cent felt uncomfortable in Swedish cities even in the daytime. The issue is particularly bad in troubled heavily migrant-populated suburbs which are often labelled no-go zones. A survey conducted by the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brå) claimed that around half of the residents of problem areas were too afraid to leave their homes in the evenings.

My next headline is a real shocker: “Sweden: Nobody helped woman raped by 20 Muslim migrants — neighbors have “learned not to see or hear too much.” The story starts this way:

“Eeew, you have sperm on your face and on your clothes, don’t involve us,” they said to the woman. She had just endured a gang rape and abuse by up to twenty perpetrators in a stairwell in Fittja, but nobody in the southern Stockholm suburb wanted to help the victim, Metro reports. More details are now being published about the high profile case in Fittja, which took place in a stairwell in August 2016. The woman was gang-raped and also beaten up by up to twenty perpetrators. The woman was kicked, beaten, threatened with a knife and her head was knocked against the floor until she went unconscious. A neighbor who witnessed the brutal attack chose to ignore it. He later stated to the police that he has “learned not to see or hear too much.” The man has lived for 15 years in Fittja, a Muslim-dominated area.

So how is Sweden dealing with the rape crisis? Check this out:

As Islamic migrants continue to perpetuate Sweden’s ongoing rape crisis, the country where the infamous phrase “Stockholm Syndrome” originated from has developed an ingenious solution that is sure to curtail the problem: a guidebook explaining that rape is wrong. That will do the trick! Released on Monday by the Swedish Ministry of Youth and Civil Affairs (MYCA), the new guidebook, titled Youmo In Practice, will discuss the nature of sexual consent and provide adults methods on discussing such issues with recently-arrived immigrants. Lena Nyberg, MYCA director, said of the book, “We have seen a great need for young people to get more knowledge and a great need among the adults to get help and support in how to talk about these issues.” Nyberg acknowledged that migrants from the Middle East do not operate according to Western values and will be made aware of them.

Worse yet, the government is going after those who dare to report on such matters:

The Swedish government is now officially questioning free speech. A government agency has declared so-called Swedish “new media” — news outlets that refuse to subscribe to the politically correct orthodoxies of the mainstream media — a possible threat to democracy. In a government report, tellingly called “The White Hatred” written by Totalförsvarets forskningsinstitut (Total Defense Research Institute), a government agency under the Swedish Ministry of Defense, Swedish new media such as Samhällsnytt (formerly known as Avpixlat), Nyheter Idag and Nya Tider are lumped together with neo-Nazi media such as Nordfront. “Hate” is defined broadly to include violent extremism, “hateful expressions”, jokes, internet trolling and even the use of certain quotation marks. For instance, in the report, placing the word “refugees” in quotation marks, as well as “unaccompanied children,” is supposedly an expression of “hate”. (Many, if not most, migrants classified as “unaccompanied children” have turned out to be grown men).

Another article gives us the bigger picture here. The title and subtitle say it all: “The Death of the Most Generous Nation on Earth. Little Sweden has taken in far more refugees per capita than any country in Europe. But in doing so, it’s tearing itself apart.” And here are some hard numbers to go with this:

Liberal Swedish society has been rocked by disturbing new statistics proving Sweden’s rape crisis is a result of the socialist government’s open door immigration policy. The notion of “foreigners committing crime” is not merely a slogan of the far-right, but is indisputable truth. According to the latest reports from Sweden, 92% of all ‘severe rapes’ (violent rapes) are committed by those of a migratory/asylum background. 100% of ‘attack rapes’ (violent rapes in which the perpetrator is a stranger) are also committed by men of the same origin. Defend Europa reports: The top ten list of ethnic origins for these rapists is as follows; Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Eritrea, Syria, Gambia, Iran, Palestine, Chile and Kosovo.

But let me conclude with some quotes from a new book on Europe and its slow demise by Douglas Murray. In The Strange Death of Europe he too looks at the disaster that Sweden now is, thanks to its commitment to political correctness and its reckless policies on immigration and Islam. His revealing discussion of the rape crisis there is worth sharing. He writes:

In the summer of 2014 the ‘We Are Stockholm’ music festival took place as normal. Except that at the event dozens of girls as young as 14 were surrounded by gangs of immigrants, particularly from Afghanistan, molested and raped. “Local police covered up the case, making no mention of it in their report on the five-day festival. There were no convictions and the press avoided any mention of the rapes. Similar organised rapes by migrant gangs occurred at music festivals in 2015 in Stockholm and Malmö among other cities. The figures were extraordinary. Whereas in 1975 there were 421 rapes reported to the Swedish police, by 2014 the annual number of rapes reported had risen to 6,620. By 2015 Sweden had the highest level of rapes per capita of any country in the world after Lesotho. When the Swedish press did report these events they wilfully misreported them. For instance, after the gang rape of a girl on a ferry from Stockholm to Abo, Finland, it was reported that the culprits were “Swedish men” when they were in fact Somalis.

He continues:

In October 2015, asylum centres in Munkedal, Lund and a dozen other places across the country were set alight by locals. The government moved to have all such locations kept secret in future. But the following January when a young female social worker was stabbed to death in an asylum shelter by a child migrant who turned out to be an adult, public opinion further soured. The issue of so-called ‘no-go zones’ became a major issue within the country, with officials furiously denying that there were areas of Sweden where the authorities could not enter even though local residents and emergency services who regularly came under assault in such areas knew this to be the case. That August an eight-year-old boy from Birmingham, England, whose family were from Somalia, was killed in a gang-related grenade attack whilst visiting relatives in Gothenburg. As with a Gothenburg car bomb a year earlier, which had killed a three-year-old girl, ethnic gang violence of this kind had become routine. In 2016 it transpired that as much as 80 per cent of the Swedish police force were considering quitting because of the dangers that their jobs now entailed in dealing with the increasingly lawless, migrant-dominated areas of their country.

His book has plenty more on the disaster that Sweden has now become. His book is essential reading for all those concerned about runaway immigration policies, mindless multiculturalism, and the increasing dangers of Islam in the West. It is rightly said that if we do not heed the lessons of history we will be doomed to repeat them. And if we do not wake up and learn from what is now happening overseas, we too will soon enough end up experiencing those disasters.
