Profiting from Covid - The New Growth Industry
Written by Paul CollitsWelcome to the Covid economy. Depleted incomes, smashed small businesses, bullshit jobs, a whole new platform for crony capitalism, deserted main streets. What's not to love?
The charge of being a conspiracy theorist is now poison. A conversation killer. Unfortunately, many dissenters from the State's line on many issues, not just Covid, are cowed by the charge. It is a trick.
2020 has seen the perfect storm of digitally powered, state driven totalitarianism. Benign, progressive, problem solving, utopian Big Tech has nudged us all towards an Orwellian dystopia of social control.
Conspiracy theorists are everywhere. Sometimes, though, they are called acute observers, social scientists, historians, critical thinkers. Governments and others may not have planned the Covid epidemic, but many with agendas are cashing in. Call them convergent opportunists.
Morrison's National Cabinet Unlawfully Preventing Australians from Returning Home
Written by Augusto ZimmermannAs well as being profoundly irrational and damaging to our freedom and to our economy, elements of the Australian lockdowns may well be unlawful. A number of legal experts question the constitutionality of things like the prevention of Australian overseas from returing home.
Those who wish to curtail our freedom and rights over a public health scare paint those who oppose their efforts as fringe dwellers and extremists. Deplorables. Anti-vaxxers. Nut cases. The ones who we should really fear are those who wish to deny us our essential freedoms.
Politicians are said to love "killer facts". And to want to "follow the science". Sadly, those running our Covid policy responses seem not to want to do either.
It's a Bilderberg World, Baby - An Alternate View of Conspiracy Theories
Written by Paul CollitsConspiracy theory has been invoked by Victorian Police commanders to tarnish the reputations of citizens who object to totalitarianism. What is conspiracy theory? It is worth unpacking in these weird times. It turns out that many conspiracy theories are respectable. Indeed, they explain much of the world.
While a Nationals MP in New South Wales is willing to threaten future of the Coalition Government over koalas, where is the resistance in our political parties to the threats to our basic rights and freedoms visited upon us by the Covid lockdowns their own governments have implemented?
Victoria's police are very concerned about "optics". Like all corporate institutions these days. Well, it hasn't been a good week for Australia's police state.
Climate of Fear: Climate Change as a Dress Rehearsal for the Covid Leviathan
Written by Paul CollitsThe fear, even hysteria, among the population over Covid is unprecedented. Yet there is a precedent for the strategies now being used by governments and others to generate the fear we are now witnessing. We merely need to look back a few years to the great climate change scare to see the parallels. Indeed, it might be argued that climate change was the perfect dress rehearsal for Covidmania.
Victoria is now a living hell of Covid Fascism, as the vicious lockdown continues. Yet the people of Victoria seem to think this is all a good thing, or at least a necessary evil. This is what life in Victoria is like now.
The Covid Reich and the Epic Fail of the Australian Media
Written by Paul CollitsAt a time of epic fails by political leaders, oppositions, bureaucracies, and, alas, churches, we need an epic fail by our media like a hole in the head. Yet that is what we have now. Amid all the Covid disasters, our media have lost the plot. They are not doing their core jobs of speaking truth to power and calling out stupidity, and we are all the poorer for it.
“They say to her: Woman, why weepest thou? She saith to them: Because they have taken away my Lord; and I know not where they have laid him.” [John 20:13]
Tracing COVID19 hysteria to its roots reveals the same cast of characters behind climate-change alarmism: So what’s their end game?
Corona Virus carnage: Taking stock of the longterm cost to individual freedom
Written by Leo HohmannI read in the local newspaper today that my local county commission basically placed me under house arrest as of 8 a.m. this morning. They say I can go out to get food or medical attention. All other actions that yesterday would have been considered normal human activity will be questioned. I reside in a Georgia county of 150,000 people that has 12 confirmed cases of Covid19, also known as coronavirus. Nevertheless, the county commission and the cities within the county are rushing to pass ordinances ordering all 150,000 of us to “voluntarily shelter in place” and mandatory closings of all “non-essential” businesses.
Two scourges: Coronavirus and abortion. One cure: the Mass.
Written by Julia du FresneItaly banned the Mass, too, and look how Italy's doing. In Germany where the Mass has been banned, 94 have died from coronavirus. France has banned the Mass: 674 deaths. Belgium has banned the Mass: 75 deaths. The Netherlands have banned the Mass: 179 dead. In Poland, the Mass has not been banned. 7 have died. You get the picture?
Just how ‘credible’ was The Kid’s testimony against Pell? [What follows is hard-going but I recommend you read it all and get to the end. The truth is revealed.]
The priest who saved Notre Dame's greatest treasure
Written by Kathy ClubbFor Catholics, the historic cathedral's most valuable item is not a golden artefact or a prized antique; even Jesus' venerable Crown of Thorns pales into insignificance when compared to this true treasure.
John Macaulay is a former altar server at Melbourne’s St Patrick’s Cathedral, scene of the alleged sexual assault of two choirboys by Cardinal George Pell. In this interview with Raymond Arroyo of EWTN, John speaks about the implausibility of the alleged crimes, based on both his experience of Cathedral Mass protocols and also his being an eye-witness during the court proceedings that saw Cardinal Pell convicted. John and Raymond open with a discussion about ‘Operation Tethering’, the Victorian Police investigation that began years before there were any allegations of malfeasance on the part of the Cardinal.

Well, it's that time of year when we look back over the last 12 months and thank God for His blessings and protection. It's also customary to examine our lives - our achievements and failures - to see what can be improved upon in the coming year. I'll certainly be spending some time in the next couple of weeks considering what improvements can be made to the website and its content. Below are the articles that you liked best and shared the most widely during 2018.
